Our Town...Blacksburg, Virginia
Blacksburg is a great place to work and to have fun. When you
see our quaint little town you will think you have stepped into
a Norman Rockwell painting. It has quaint shops and bars, tons
of outdoor activities and more fiber running under the streets
than any other town in the country!
Outdoor Activities- If you don't like being inside all of the
time, then you need to be in middle of the beautiful Blue Ridge
Mountains floating down the New River. Activities include Mountain
biking, hiking, spelunking, canoeing, tubing, rafting, fabulous
sunsets, blue skies, and great views. Blacksburg was named one
of the "10 Dream Towns, the perfect places to live big, play
hard and work" in the September 2001 issue of Outside Magazine.
Most Wired Town - Yahoo Internet Life named Blacksburg the most
wired small town again in 2000. The percentage of citizens who
have Internet Access is higher in Blacksburg than any other city
in the world.
Virginia Tech - A great Institution, college atmosphere and best
of all, Hokie Football!!
Night Life - Go downtown and have a beer, go to a movie or catch
a play or concert on campus.
Family Life - The school systems here are excellent and the cost
of living is low.
