Blacksburg, VA - September 1, 2005 - nanoCom Corporation, one of the world's cutting-edge video chat innovators, announced today the launch of the latest version of iSpQ VideoChat. Breakthrough video and voice quality are at the core of this new version. Four-way video and voice conversations are natural and clear with video transmitted at 320x240 pixels at 15 fps and better than phone-quality audio without a headset.
"This release offers an unparalleled and realistic video experience for broadband users," said Bob Summers, nanoCom's chief executive officer. "Advanced video compression and transmission techniques allow a much sharper picture using less bandwidth than before."
Summers added that iSpQ 7.5's voice technology utilizes built-in gain control and echo cancellation, placing it leaps and bounds above the competition.
Higher-resolution video and new voice level features required the iSpQ engineers to develop a new user interface. This new interface for video chat gives easy access to the new 2X zoom button and to visual feedback of microphone and speaker levels.
iSpQ 7.5 includes many enhancements that make being part of the iSpQ community even better. Beyond new video and voice capabilities, MyPlace text chat areas have been reshaped into a listing of Private Chat rooms. Messages are now delivered faster and profiles display quicker. "I just downloaded the new version of 7.5...last night...and all I can say is WOW," described Steve, an iSpQ user from Missouri.
Availability iSpQ VideoChat 7.5 for Windows is a free download in English, Dutch, German, Italian, French, and Spanish, and is available at http://www.ispq.com/download/. Existing version 7.x users may upgrade for free. The MacOS X version of iSpQ 7.5 is currently under development.
